At school parents make connections with other parents and nurture a happy home-to-school transition for their child.
Children are welcome to bring breakfast to be eaten at school.
Children can play with each other and teachers after breakfast time.

“Discovery” and “Wonder” areas.
|9:30 – 10:00||Circle Time|
-Gather together as a class and set a positive tone for the day with an engaging social activity
-Introduce or review our “theme of inquiry”
-Select children’s activities of interest for the day
-Determine their responsibilities to their classroom
-Do yoga stretches
-Introduce songs with visual props
-Teach or review numbers, calendar, and letters
-Do sharing time on the children scheduled day.

After having a healthy snack with teachers and friends,our morning creations during outdoor play may include
–Playing with friends and/or teachers
–Doing music and games
–Play and do science in the sandbox
–Working on outdoor projects.

Work on our “theme of inquiry” group activity to generate dialog and participation to solve children’s problems. In addition, we do math, language, writing literacy, and creative drawings activities.
|11:45 – 12:15||Hand Wash/ Lunch Time|
This is an important time for conversations and connections; teachers eat with the children and discuss children’s ongoing projects, interests, questions and reflections about our morning deeds.

|12:30 – 1:00||Outdoor play|
Students who finish lunch and read a book are excused to go outside and play. We say “hasta mañana” to our amigos who leave at 12:30 p.m.
|1:00 – 2:30||Quiet Time/Story Time/Nap Time|
By 1:00 PM all kids get ready for an afternoon rest, which means taking off shoes, brushing teeth, and washing their hands.
|2:30 – 3:00||Transition Time/Afternoon Dismissal|
Help children to transition smoothly from nap time to get ready for closing day for our “amigos” who leave at 3:00 p.m.
We offer children the opportunity to experience multiple skills to enhance their learning, confidence, self-esteem, imagination, and academic abilities through enriched afternoon activities.

These activities may include cultural diversity appreciation projects, stories, acting scenes, math, yoga, gymnastics, science, music, painting, arts and crafts, reading and writing exercises, drawing on their journal. (These activities are children tailored to child’s interests).

Pick up begins. Parents drift in and chat with the teachers about their day while the kids play.
