Our hands-on curriculum focuses on all the developmental skills children need to become confident, independent, and academically ready for the next level.
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and High Scope approach and are guided by the NAEYC’s (National Association for the Education of Young Children-www.naeyc.org.) Principals of Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Young Children. We are dedicated to provide a joyful and engaging atmosphere that acknowledges and supports children’s ability to construct and understanding of their world by providing them with a series of material and opportunities to develop and find their interests.
We highly believe that the social curriculum is as important as the academic curriculum in a school environment. We emphasize socialization, respect, caring for others, patience, and an appreciation for each other. We achieve these concepts through doing, exploring, collaborating, and connecting with classmates and teachers, all while communicating in español. Through the social curriculum we set high standards for behavior, guiding students to be kind, respectful, responsible, caring citizens. With the Responsive Classroom approach as our foundation, social skills are modeled and practiced in each class activity and reinforced daily. The common language we are developing to address student behavior promotes a safe, comfortable, and joyful learning environment where children learn to appreciate each other’s individual talents.
