Welcome Amigos!
As early childhood educators and native Spanish speakers, we have a passionate commitment to promote the Hispanic language, traditions and culture in our young children.
Philosophy
We strongly believe in enriching children’s lives in an engaging, welcoming, and nurturing learning environment while watching other developmental areas such as cognitive, physical, emotional, language, social and fine growth motor skills. ALL, with the great bonus of guiding, and teaching our students solely in Spanish.
What makes us different?
- A creative fun, engaging, interactive, challenging, hands on, and real life related and age appropriate themes and activities. All en Espanol, from the minute the students walk in (Hola, como estas?) to the moment they leave (Hasta Luego Amiguitos!).
- Students monthly evaluations and individual portfolios for each student to engage in self-reflection about their progress and evaluate work
- Parent-Teacher conferences and open ongoing communication is essential. We are committed to you and your child's developmental needs.
- Class presentations regular pictures and video clips of the students show families some of the many songs, vocabulary, and questions their children can respond to in Spanish.
- Parent - Child field trips to enrich our thematic units and let our student explore beyond classroom walls.
- Monthly newsletters keep families informed of our monthly class curriculum and teaching plans.
- At Welcome Amigos we consider children's passions and interests to help them expand their knowledge. Teachers constantly interact with students in the children own active learning.
- We strongly believe that each child is unique and posses individual talents and should be treated with patience, understanding, respect, and excellent care.
